Hey everyone, I wanted to share the original post I had posted on the other site. Since this is my home base. I don’t want to cheat you all out on my thoughts and content. So this is the original post ⬇. That way you all know what to expect from my blog, and why I’m doing some of the things I’m doing.**
“Positivity Reset: The 60 Day Challenge”
Everything starts in the mind, but everything begins with you. Yes You! Every second of every day we are making choices in our daily life. Decisions that will shape us, our thoughts, our day, our future… Our lives! Possibly the rest of our lives. Those decisions we make start to create either good habits or bad habits with in us. So yes, when they say. “What you think about, you bring about.” It’s absolutely true.
There’s an old saying that it takes 21 to 30 days to create a new habit. This may be true for most people, and then there are a few like me who will need a little longer. Simply because, “One of the greatest battles we will ever face in life, is the transformation of our own mind.”
We have to understand, that this challenge to take one small step into the direction of changing our thoughts, views, a small part of our lives. It will not be easy for some. Because we are so accustomed to the experiences and thoughts we already have. We are stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts and experiences! We have to understand and accept that. We have to be honest with ourselves.
So let me clearly review this again.
We are stuck in this cycle because we repeat the same bad experiences, that make us repeat the same bad habits… Which keeps us stuck in the same cycle. So now we are trying to build new good experience, to build new good habits. Because if you’re going to have any habits, we should make them good habits, right!?
We will try to come up with excuses or just be lazy. So that’s why I believe we have to know what we are up against, what we are battling. So we can prepare ourselves and fight back! We have to hold ourselves accountable and responsible for our own results in this 60 Day Challenge. I actually wrote a post on countering different battles we will face. If you would like to get a little more info. Which I believe will benefit you more in gaining this knowledge click on this link “Thought, Growth, Add, Change.”
“Quote, Learned, Thought, Grateful”… I’ll give you some examples on how I’m using these 4 words below. Let me say first, I started this challenge but had to stop because the Flu had knocked me out. I will be starting this challenge again, but on my Own Site (KarenViramontes.com) or better yet a mixture of my site and my Instagram (karenviramontes_com). I still have to write content for my site, that’s why I have to mix it up.
So you can do this Challenge how ever you would like. For example:
- Write something positive for all 4 words Daily.
- Choose 1 word daily to write something positive on. And alternate words for every day.
I’m personally doing the latter. So these following examples are how I started my“Positivity Reset: The 60 Day Challenge.”
1.) Grateful: Above all else, I’m grateful for God and my family. They created me, molded me, and I am who I am because of them. They are the foundation to my life, to my world.
2.) Learned: I learned to Forgive. It was one of the most difficult things I learned to do. It also took me a while to understand it in a deeper level. As soon as I understood it and I meant it. I was set free.
3.) Quote: “Justice is never given; it is exacted and the struggle must be continuous for freedom is never a final fact, but a continuing evolving process to higher and higher levels of human, social, economic, political and religious relationship.” ~A. Philip Randolph
4.) Thought: I would rather start at zero… At rock bottom and work my way up. Just to say, “I built it myself” and it wasn’t handed to me. I did it!
These are my personal, true to me words I came up with. And as the days go on, and I’m working on writing something new to be Grateful for or a new Thought, I still glance at the old ones to remind myself of what I am ….
If I can give you any advice to remember along this journey it would be.
- You’re challenging yourself.
- You deserve a better way of life. That’s why you are doing this.
- You are in control of what happens (Responsible.)
- When it comes to negativity, remember, Nothing is permanent. Nothing lasts forever, it is all temporary. So those bad situations, thoughts, etc. They won’t last!
- What you focus on expands, so focus on the good things.
If you decide to take this challenge with me, I would love to hear about your journey. You Can change your thoughts!
